ABOUT BURGHBLOOMS

I have always loved flowers and have felt a strong connection with them for as long as I can remember. When my daughter was turning 1, I wanted flowers for her birthday party. So, what began as a joyful moment of seeking out flowers at a u-pick flower farm for one party, grew into a deeper commitment to cultivating beauty, fostering connection, and contributing to the resilience of both people and the land. We grow seasonal flowers using practices inspired by organic farming and are steadily transforming a once-vacant lot into a blooming space that supports pollinators, wildlife, and our community.

This business is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves access to the magic of growing and experiencing flowers, regardless of land, privilege, or background. We are also committed to engaging honestly with the layered histories of race, land, and inequality in Pittsburgh. Through our flowers, workshops, and community connections, we hope to contribute, quietly but purposefully, to the wellbeing of our neighborhood and to a more just, beautiful world.
Burghblooms is a micro urban flower farm rooted in Pittsburgh’s neighborhood of Larimer.
